Species are manifold creatures that inhabit Wizardess Heart world.

Overview

Species are divided into three levels: higher, middle and lower, and use as meter base:

  • intelligence - ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.
  • sentience - capacity to feel, perceive or experience subjectively.
  • power - capacity or ability to direct (or influence) energy, itself or others.[1]

In seasons 3 and 4 fairies were defined as the magical creatures closer to humans beings in sentience, followed by unicorns and mermaids.[2] From season 6 forward dragonkins and hanyos were also compared to humans wizards in many subjects, with equal or higher intelligence and power.

So far no species was clearly specified being in the Middle or Lower Levels.

Those with higher magical level and sentience do not become a Familiar, as their power equal or is superior to that of wizards.[3] So far, only Humans (Wizards), Dragonkins and Hanyos were shown owning a familiar.
