Liz's Home

Liz Hart is an orphaned girl who lost both parents to an epidemic that swept through her village. Between routes/seasons, Liz's parents death diverge in dates, while in Elias's Route they died two years before the beginning of the story, in Joel's Route it happened during Liz's earlier childhood.

Liz lived alone in Reitz, a small village in the mountains, and was raised communally by other villagers, viewing them all as an extended family. Her dream since childhood had been to attend Gedonelune Royal Magic Academy, sending applications there for several years. She idolized the great wizard Serge Durandal, who was said to be a great tamer of magical creatures and hoped to follow in his footsteps.

All Routes

Season 1 to 5: after receiving the Acceptance Letter, Liz departs to Gedonelune Academy to fulfill her dream. Upon arriving, she discovers that her acceptance is provisional, and to become an official student she would need to study and rely on her performance for a period of thirteen days, then undergo a Trial of Judgment, in which a magical scale judges whether she remains or leaves. As the stories proceed, Liz is paired with a school Buddy (being her Buddy the character whose route the player has chosen), and eventually turning out to be her love interest. Conflict arises and makes it difficult for her to focus on her goals (the type of conflict differs depending on what arc is being played). Endings: Unhappy - in all she does not pass, and her decision on what to do next varies on each route. Normal - varies in being accepted or rejected and she chooses whether to return to home or move forward to another goal. Happy - in all she's accepted in the Academy.

Season 6 to 11: the story now has a sequence and starts two years after Liz got accepted into the academy. The Buddy System is not mentioned in most routes, yet she still falls in love with the character of the route picked. In Lucious' route she's referred to as The Goddess of Time by Hugo Peers. Apparently, Hugo came from the future where, according to the information he discloses little by little, is a dystopia where people live in terror. This is caused by the awakening of the Dragonkins.

Season 8

In Hugo's route, Hugo reveals to her that it's imperative that she's safe because there was a saying that predicted the world would be saved by The Goddess of Time. When the baby is returned to her and it nuzzles against her, she treats him as a baby. Liz names him Shu. They all conclude that Liz should be the caretaker of the baby dragon. However, Liz only wants to protect him because she knows that as soon as the dragon is big or mature enough, either the Ministry or the White Dragons are going to take Shu away to either do some experiments or to train him for combat. Two things she's against. In the meantime, she decides just to take care of him.

Personality

Wiki Note: Liz personality, varies slightly depending on the route and as the stories progress with the respective love interests, being depicted as mostly gullible, optimistic and reckless.

As specified in seasons 1 to 5, living alone in the countryside in a small village, Liz grew innocent, making her rather gullible/naïve person and easily embarrassed. When overwhelmed by emotion, Liz becomes forgetful, missing out various crucial details in her studies, canonically becoming a terrible, or clumsy student, for instance, when excited to receive the Acceptance Letter, she does not read it regarding the provisional terms of her enrollment. Mentioned by other characters as kind-hearted and loyal, Liz sees the best in people, with a tendency to think of others before herself. Well-meaning, in acts of bravery and selflessness, she was shown to disregards the possibility of potential danger to herself, becoming careless/reckless, not thinking her actions completely. Although, with all difficulties, her attitude is generally optimistic, using her stubbornness to become witty and smart when it counts. Stated in many routes (depending on the answer picked), Liz firmly believes that the purpose of magic is to make people happy.

In some stories, Liz is very dense about the feelings other men have over her, making her boyfriend or suitor frustrated and jealous. For example, in Nox and Rex routes, she had to make a decision only after she was told by the both of them that they liked her. In Leon's "Caesar the Piggy" event story, when she and Leon are having a picnic, Caesar suddenly shows up and tries to kiss her, but Leon becomes jealous and makes Caesar to kiss Ronny instead. In the "Ridiculously Fun!" spin-off, Klaus and Leon decide to compete at a Confession Love Contest, when they glare at each other, Liz has a hard time figuring out why sparkles seemed to be flying between the two of them. And in Hiro's "Popular Boys" spin-off, Hugo and Mischa join Hiro and Liz into a cave and while exploring, Liz asks Hugo what kind of girl he likes. Mischa answers that Hugo likes pretty, kind, brave girls who have a great sense of justice. Liz responds that his standards are very high. Hugo is glad that she didn't understand what Mischa was implying and it's Hiro who threatens Hugo not to make any moves on his girlfriend, although he uses other words so Liz doesn't understand it either.

Magical Ability

Liz wands

Liz's wands CGs from the routes: Klaus 1, Mel, Vincent Sequel and Zeus.

At the age of six, Liz Hart manifested magical abilities unexpectedly, becoming able to cast spells as well as a rare magical ability to communicate with animals. In the village, she used her abilities to act as a sort of magical veterinarian, speaking to animals to figure out their problems before casting the appropriate healing spells on them. The villagers viewed her as a dependable and reliable wizard, but in reality, her magic tended to go haywire whenever animals were not involved.

At the beginning of the game, Liz is a very haphazard and novice wizard, most of her magic goes terribly wrong, often transforming things to animal-like effects, nevertheless, Liz was not lacking in pure magical ability, merely the discipline and concentration to control it.

Depending on the route, she discovers one of several potential abilities, including the ability to use powerful Primitive Spells in situations of distress, a time travelling ability that she cannot yet control, a spellsinging ability, and potentially the power to control outcomes through words. In the sequels and from season 6 onward, she's more powerful and skilled with her magic and therefore she's looked up by other students. After becoming a Prefect she even give classes on magical subjects to her former classmates. Her wand also varies depending on the routes.

At the end of Season 6, it was disclosed by Hugo that Liz was The Goddess of Time. However, after the events in Willem's route (Season 8) she was never referred by this title again. However, it's been recognized by many people that Liz maybe holds a power within her that makes destiny change according to her actions. So when she feels confident that things are going to work out, people feel at ease because they believe it will, and it's always right.

Depending on the route, she is able to form the magical bond with a familiar. In Yukiya's route, she gets the Elder as her familiar, a wing rabbit that has lived for a very long time and acquired a grander magic power that the average wing rabbit. In the same series, The Tower of Sorrow series, Headmaster Randolph passes to her his Carbuncle, and becomes her familiar.

Her power to talk to animals enables her to make animal friends easily, or to soothe dangerous beasts. One of the examples was when in Vicent's sequel, she listens to a hell hound that apparently told her that he was being manipulated. In the Spring of Unicorns series, she becomes close to a unicorn and saves him. When taken to the valley where there are lot of Wing Rabbits by Glenn or Yukiya, they become attached to her easily. And in season 11 she becomes the mother of a pure white dragon that she names Shu and she even becomes friends with Florin's black dragon, Zurvan.
